This is Romania’s second season in a row where rules of Play-Off and Play-Out are applied. First 6 out the 14 teams qualified for the championship group while the teams placed on 7th to 14th positions are going to play in the relegation group. At the end of the Play-Out, the teams ranked 13th and 14th will be relegated while the 12th position must play a double leg match with the team finishing on the third of Liga 2.
