Steaua and Concordia Chajna met on Sunday evening on National Arena fighting for League Cup trophy. The newcomer Marko Momčilović scored first in the 60th minute and Steaua was 30 minutes away from their 58 trophy in the club’s history. The former Liga 1 champion, Marius Pena equalized just 4 minutes before the final whistle. The only goal of the extra-time comes in the 111th minute when Steaua is awarded with a penalty kick. The penalty is executed with cold blood by Jugurtha Hamroun with a “Panenka” and Steaua took the lead again. Chiajna’s pressing didn’t bring the equalizer and Steaua wins their second consecutive League Cup.
