Six Romanian expatriate football players are involved in the current preliminary round of Champions League. 

Ludogorets 2-2 Crvena Zvezda
Bulgarian champions, Ludogorets met on home ground the Serbian champions, Crvena Zvezda in the 3rd preliminary round of UEFA Champions League. Ludogorets has 3 Romanian players in the squad but only one of them started in the first XI. It’s about ex-Dinamo’s defender, Cosmin Moti. The other two started on the bench, Claudiu Keseru and Andrei Prepelita. The last one hasn’t been used at all. Keseru, on the other hand, scored the squalizer for Bulgarians in the 76th minute with an assist from Moti. Keseru was sent in just 10 minutes earlier before scoring. Moti has been booked with an yellow card in the 83rd minute. The second leg will take place next week in Serbia’s capital.

FK Rostov 2-2 Anderlecht (video)
Belgian champions, Anderlecht transferred Alexandru Chipchiu before the start of this season. He made his official debut on Tuesday night in Rostov, where Anderlecht played against FK Rostov. Chipciu started the match from the first whistle but was subbed after 69 minutes by Frank Acheampong. Former Steaua player has been awarded with an yellow card in the 19th minute after a fault.

26 year old Romanian defender, Alexandru Matel was included in the sqad for Dinamo Zagreb’s match against the Georgian champions but hasn’t been used at all by Kranjcar Zlatko.

Ovidiu Hoban was not included in the Israeli squad for this match.
