Bucharest-based Metaloglobus has announced its second summer signing ahead of the 2025 SuperLiga season, securing the services of 27-year-old central midfielder Bruno Moreira from Cape Verde. Moreira joins the newly promoted side on a free transfer following his stint with Portuguese lower league club Tirsense.
Bruno José Moreira Barreto Carvalho, known simply as Bruno Moreira, has spent his entire professional career in Portugal. He progressed through the youth ranks of GD Chaves before representing several clubs including CDC Montalegre, ARC Oleiros, Sacavenense, União Santarém, GS Loures, Oliveira do Hospital, Anadia FC, and most recently Tirsense. Notably, Moreira helped Tirsense reach the semifinals of the 2024-25 Portuguese Cup, where they were ultimately eliminated by Benfica.
Internationally, Moreira has featured for the Cape Verde U19 and U20 national teams on multiple occasions, adding valuable experience to his profile.
This transfer follows Metaloglobus’ earlier signing of Desley Ubbink, marking a strategic strengthening of their squad as they prepare to compete in Romania’s top flight for the first time. The acquisition of Moreira, a technically skilled midfielder with experience in European competitions, reflects Metaloglobus’ ambition to establish themselves firmly in the SuperLiga.
The arrival of Moreira is expected to enhance Metaloglobus’ midfield creativity and stability, providing Coach with more tactical options for the upcoming campaign. His journey from the Portuguese lower leagues to Romania’s premier division also highlights the club’s growing appeal to international talent.
