Malcom Edjouma FCSB transfer is off the table!

Why the Malcom Edjouma FCSB Transfer to Botoșani Fell Through

Malcom Edjouma, the French midfielder currently with FCSB, will not be joining FC Botoșani this summer. Despite initial interest from Botoșani, the club’s owner, Valeriu Iftime, has confirmed that the deal is off due to financial constraints and the team’s current roster depth. Edjouma’s salary demands were a significant factor, as he earns €13,000 per month at FCSB. His contract with the Romanian champions extends until December 2025.

The situation at Botoșani has been complicated by internal conflicts, leading to the departure of Alexandru Albu. However, the position Edjouma would have filled is now considered adequately covered by other players, according to coach Leo Grozavu.

Edjouma, along with Alexandru Băluță and Jordan Gele, was left out of FCSB’s summer training camp in the Netherlands and will not play for the team again. All three players had the opportunity to join UTA but declined the offer.

In conclusion, Malcom Edjouma’s failed transfer to Botoșani highlights the financial and strategic challenges clubs face in securing top talent.
