Bosnian forward Luka Juricic has officially left CFR Cluj after 18 appearances and two goals, signing a permanent deal with FK Borac Banja Luka for the upcoming season. Juricic, who joined CFR Cluj in the summer of 2023 from Armenian club Pyunik Erevan, struggled to secure a regular spot in Dan Petrescu’s squad and spent part of 2024 back on loan at Pyunik, where he last played an official match.
The transfer marks a homecoming for Juricic, as Borac Banja Luka is based in his native Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club finished second in the Bosnian Premier League last season and will participate in the Conference League qualifiers, offering Juricic a chance to compete in European competition again. He has signed a two-year contract with Borac.
CFR Cluj expressed gratitude for Juricic’s contributions and wished him success in his career following the agreement with Borac Banja Luka. Currently, Juricic’s market value is estimated at around €150,000 according to Transfermarkt.
This departure follows the exit of another forward, Peter Michael, as CFR Cluj reshapes its attacking options ahead of their UEFA Europa League campaign, starting with an away match against Paksi. The club is looking to strengthen its squad after a disappointing 1-2 loss in the Romanian Supercup.
