CFR Cluj has officially confirmed the permanent transfer of Bosnian forward Luka Juricic to FK Borac Banja Luka, marking another significant change in the Romanian club’s attacking lineup under coach Dan Petrescu.
Juricic, who joined CFR Cluj in the summer of 2023 from Armenian club Pyunik Erevan, made 18 appearances totaling 627 minutes and scored two goals during his time in Cluj-Napoca. Despite these contributions, the 28-year-old striker was unable to secure a regular starting position, leading to his departure this summer.
Borac Banja Luka, Juricic’s new club, finished second in the Bosnian Premier League last season and will participate in the UEFA Conference League qualifiers. This move offers Juricic a fresh opportunity to compete both domestically and in European competition. The player signed a two-year contract with Borac and expressed enthusiasm about the new challenge and the club’s ambitions for trophies and European success.
CFR Cluj publicly thanked Juricic for his services and wished him success in his career. The transfer market currently values Juricic at approximately €150,000.
This transfer follows CFR Cluj’s recent first official defeat of the new season—a 1-2 loss in the Romanian Supercup. The team’s next match is an away fixture against Paksi in the UEFA Europa League first qualifying round, scheduled for Thursday at 20:00, broadcast live on Digi Sport 1.
Juricic’s exit highlights CFR Cluj’s ongoing reshaping of their attacking options as they prepare for both domestic and European campaigns, while Borac Banja Luka strengthens its squad for competitive aspirations at home and abroad.
