CFR Cluj has officially transferred forward Luka Juricic to Bosnian side FK Borac Banja Luka, marking another departure from the Romanian club’s attacking line this summer. Juricic, a Bosnian international, featured in 18 matches for CFR Cluj across all competitions, scoring twice during his tenure at the Gruia-based club.

Juricic initially joined CFR Cluj in the summer of 2023 from Armenian champions Pyunik Erevan. However, he struggled to secure a regular starting spot under coach Dan Petrescu. In 2024, he was loaned back to Pyunik, his former club, and did not play any official matches for CFR Cluj since that loan spell. Upon his return, Juricic failed to make an appearance in the latest season before this permanent transfer was agreed.

The move to Borac Banja Luka brings Juricic back to his home country, where he will have the opportunity to participate in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers next season with the Bosnian runners-up. Borac was also a former UEFA Champions League qualifying opponent of CFR Cluj, adding an interesting historical link between the clubs.

CFR Cluj expressed their gratitude and wished Juricic success in his career following the transfer announcement, highlighting the club’s intent to restructure their attacking options after a disappointing start to the new season, which included a 1-2 loss in the Romanian Supercup. Juricic’s market value is currently estimated at €150,000, according to Transfermarkt.

This transfer reflects CFR Cluj’s ongoing squad reshaping under Dan Petrescu, as they prepare for their upcoming UEFA Europa League first-round match against Paksi. The club aims to strengthen and optimize their roster to compete effectively on both domestic and European fronts.
