Rapid Bucharest transfered 27-year-old defender Matias Perez Acuña from CA Estudiantes, a team playing in the second Argentinian league. Acuña started football at Velez Sarsfield, for which he played 4 seasons before moving to Quilmes. After just one season, he returned to Velez Sarsfield in 2017. Four matches later he signed with another team, Tigre where he played for three season before moving to Estudiantes in 2021.

I am very happy. I wish a lot to come here. When I first found out about this opportunity, I didn’t think too much. I wanted to come as soon as possible. I want to meet my colleagues and make good things together. I knew Rapid promoted recently and has 3 league titles and plays a good football. This is my first experience in Europe. I’ve been told about Rapid’s fans that they are fanatics and this thing made my excited.
