Ianis Hagi made his debut in Liga1 on December 5th, 2014

Gheorghe Hagi’s son, Ianis (16 year-old and one month), made his debut for Viitorul Constanta in a 2-1 home loss against FC Botosani in Romania’s Liga 1 tonight. Ianis Hagi came on as a substitute in the 89th minute.

Ianis Hagi is already seen as a future star. He is Romania’s Under-17 captain. Romania will face England, Norway and Slovenia in the Elite Round of U17 Euro qualification next March.

Gheorghe Hagi is currently both owner and manager of Viitorul Constanta. After seventeen games played so far this season, Viitorul sits in ninth place in Liga 1.

Compared with Ianis, Gheorghe Hagi made his debut at 17 years and 7 months old.
