Malcom Edjouma, the French midfielder at Romanian champions FCSB, will leave the club for a Hungarian team, as confirmed by club owner Gigi Becali. Edjouma, who was sidelined this season and excluded from FCSB’s Dutch training camp, will thus continue his career abroad instead of moving to FC Botoșani, which had shown interest in him. Becali announced a fee of €100,000 received from the Hungarian club for Edjouma’s transfer.
Edjouma joined FCSB in 2022 from FC Botoșani for €330,000 and played 44 matches in the 2024-2025 season, including 11 in the Europa League. His overall contribution to FCSB amounts to 105 appearances, 17 goals, and 8 assists, with a current market value of around €800,000. The transfer reflects FCSB’s strategy to streamline the squad amid a crowded midfield, where players like Adrian Șut, Mihai Lixandru, Vlad Chiricheș, and Ovidiu Perianu remain.
This move marks a new chapter for Edjouma as he looks for more playing time abroad, while allowing FCSB to adjust their roster and budget ahead of the new season[1][3].
