Former Romanian international Goian has been appointed the new head coach of CSM Cetatea 1932 Suceava, the team freshly promoted to Liga 3 this summer. After two years away from coaching, Dorin Goian returns to the technical bench having last managed Foresta Suceava during the 2022-2023 season and serving as technical director for Cetatea in 2024.
Goian brings a wealth of experience both as a player—having represented clubs like Steaua București, Palermo, Rangers, and amassed 69 caps for Romania—and as a coach with prior spells at Foresta and Bucovina Rădăuți. His leadership is expected to be pivotal as Cetatea navigates the challenges of the third tier of Romanian football and aims to establish itself at this higher competitive level.
