Dinamo București has completed its second signing of the day by officially acquiring Mamoudou Karamoko, a 26-year-old French striker formerly of FC Copenhagen. Following the presentation of 19-year-old Nikita Stoyanov, the club announced Karamoko’s permanent transfer from Copenhagen, signing him on a two-season contract until June 30, 2027, with an option to extend for a further year.
Karamoko arrives having spent the last two seasons on loan in Hungary’s top flight. In the 2023-2024 season, he played for Fehérvár, scoring 5 goals and providing 3 assists in 23 appearances. The previous season, he featured for Újpest Budapest, registering 2 goals and 3 assists across 19 matches. Standing 1.88 meters tall, Karamoko has experience at the highest level, including Champions League appearances for Copenhagen in 2022 against Manchester City.
His transfer marks Dinamo’s ninth signing this summer under coach Zeljko Kopic, who is continuing to reinforce the squad with a mix of youth and experience. Karamoko’s arrival adds depth and versatility to Dinamo’s attack, as he has also been deployed as a left winger during his recent stint in Hungary. Valued at around €400,000 according to Transfermarkt, the French forward brings winning pedigree, having secured two Danish league titles with Copenhagen in 2022 and 2023.
This acquisition signals Dinamo’s ambition to strengthen their offensive options heading into the new season, aiming to improve their competitiveness in Romania’s Superliga and challenge for higher league standings.
*Implication:* Karamoko’s signing could provide Dinamo with a potent aerial threat and clinical finishing ability, potentially transforming their attacking dynamics under Kopic’s system.
