CS Tunari kicked off their 2025 summer preparations with a strong test against Dinamo Bucharest on Sunday, July 6, hosting the former SuperLiga playoff contender at home. The Liga 2 newcomers, coached by Dan Alexa, earned a valuable 1-1 draw after coming from behind, showcasing resilience against top-flight opposition.
The match remained goalless at halftime, but Dinamo broke through in the 72nd minute thanks to Andrei Ionică. CS Tunari responded swiftly, with Denis Pârcălabu leveling the score just three minutes later in the 75th minute, a result that held until the final whistle.
Dan Alexa utilized his entire squad across both halves to evaluate player fitness and form, a common approach during this phase of preseason. The starting lineup featured key players such as Moroz, Vasu, and Arthur, with fresh legs introduced after the break including new signing goalkeeper Sebastian Micu.
This friendly marks CS Tunari’s first positive result of the summer, setting a confident tone ahead of their next preparatory match against CS Dinamo on July 12—another newly promoted Liga 2 side. Further friendlies are scheduled against Sepsi OSK, CS Păulești, and Concordia Chiajna, providing a rigorous buildup to the new season.
Since their promotion from Liga 3, CS Tunari has strengthened their squad by signing three players: winger Arthur Gyorgyi, central midfielder Levente Bara (both from AFC Odorheiu Secuiesc), and goalkeeper Sebastian Micu from CSM Slatina. These acquisitions aim to bolster the team’s ambition to finish in the top 10 in their debut Liga 2 campaign.
The draw against a SuperLiga playoff team like Dinamo signals that CS Tunari can compete at a higher level, an encouraging sign for their upcoming league challenges.
