Former player of important Romanian teams, Stefan Nanu will return on the pitch in this spring. Now 48, Nanu signed with Minerul Costesti, a team in the 4th tier in the “Superliga Valcea”.

I will go to Costesti as a player, to keep in shape on Sundays. I will not be a coach becasuse at Minerul there are no trainings. The players are going directly for matches. We are a total of 14-15 people. Once the City Hall will create a new team in Ramncu Valcea, I’ll apply for a coach position there. I will be training children” said Nanu for Liga2.ro

Currently, Stefan Nanu is a scouter for the Dutch team Emmen. Nanu started his professional carreer in Craiova at Extensiv. He then played for Farul Constanta, Rapid Bucharest, Vitesse, Steaua Bucharest, Otelul Galati, Fortuna Poiana Campina and FCM Campiona. We played 7 matches for Romania’s national team between 1999 and 2000.
