Instead, I received a message from the club saying that they no longer wanted to continue with me,” Ștefan said. “It was a shock, especially since I had left a significant amount of money on the table when I joined Universitatea Craiova. I had renounced a substantial bonus from Sepsi to join the club, and I was expecting to recover some of that money through the contract extension.”

Ștefan has several options on the table, including interest from clubs in Turkey and the German second division. He expressed his desire to play abroad, citing his experience playing for CFR, Rapid, and Universitatea Craiova as a reason for his interest in exploring opportunities outside of Romania.
“I have some offers from Turkey and the German second division. I’m also considering other options, but my priority is to find a club that meets my expectations,” Ștefan said. “If FCSB were to make an offer, I wouldn’t rule it out entirely. However, I wouldn’t say no to any club that offers me what I’m looking for.”
