FC Argeș has bolstered its squad ahead of the new season by signing Portuguese forward Ricardo Matos. Matos, 25, joins from Gloria Buzău, where he scored six goals in 22 appearances during the 2024-25 season. He has signed a two-year deal with FC Argeș.

Matos developed through the youth ranks of Benfica Lisbon, playing for all junior teams until he turned 19. He then gained experience in Italy with Ascoli and Casertana, before moving back to Portugal to play for Portimonense and Belenenses. Matos joined Gloria Buzău in the summer of 2024.

With a market value of €400,000 according to Transfermarkt, Matos is expected to contribute significantly to FC Argeș’s campaign. His signing is part of the team’s efforts to strengthen its lineup for the upcoming season.
