Rapid București has recently bolstered its attacking lineup with the signing of French forward Antoine Baroan on a three-year contract. Baroan, who stands at 1.88 meters, joins from Swiss club Winterthur. This move marks the third transfer for Rapid during the current window, following the signings of Hazrollaj and Kramer.

Baroan expressed his excitement about joining Rapid, highlighting the club’s rich history and the passionate atmosphere at home games. He noted, “I am very happy to play for Rapid. The club has a beautiful history, and I have seen on the internet the fantastic atmosphere at home matches. I look forward to playing at Giulești and giving my all for the team.”

The transfer has sparked mixed reactions, with some fans and pundits expressing skepticism about the signing. Notably, Marian Iancu, a prominent figure, questioned the cost and potential impact of Baroan, suggesting that Rapid may have overestimated his value.

In terms of financial details, Baroan is reportedly set to receive a signing bonus of approximately €100,000 and a monthly salary of €20,000. His market value is estimated at €800,000.

The signing of Baroan is part of Rapid’s efforts to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season, aiming to improve their performance in the Romanian SuperLiga.

This transfer could significantly boost Rapid’s attacking capabilities, potentially impacting their league standings.
