UTA Arad has bolstered its squad by signing left-back Andrea Padula from FCU Craiova. Padula, who holds both Italian and Romanian citizenship, has previously played in Switzerland for clubs like Basel. He was a key player and captain for FCU Craiova in the second tier, making 54 appearances and scoring two goals. Padula’s move follows UTA’s earlier signings, including Mark Țuțu and others, as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
Padula’s addition is significant, given his experience and leadership qualities. He was once targeted by FCSB but remained with FCU Craiova until now. His debut for UTA could come against his former rivals, Universitatea Craiova.
The signing of Padula reflects UTA’s efforts to strengthen its defense ahead of the new season.
