CSC Șelimbăr, a prominent team in Romania’s Liga 2, is undergoing significant changes to its roster in preparation for the upcoming season. The Sibiu-based club has recently announced the departures of Vadim Dijinari and Cătălin Gogor, two key players. Dijinari, a Moldovan central defender, has returned to his home country to join Petrocub Hâncești, while Gogor, a versatile right-back or midfielder, has parted ways after playing 20 matches for the club.
In the previous season, CSC Șelimbăr narrowly avoided relegation by finishing fourth in the play-out group, with 31 points. This season, they currently lead Liga 2 after 15 rounds, with 32 points. The team is set to face stiff competition as they aim for a better finish than last year.
The recent changes are part of a broader overhaul that includes new signings like Dennis Berța, Daniel Bîrzu, and Sergiu Jurj. These moves signal the club’s intent to strengthen its position in the league.
The team’s new dynamics under potential leadership changes, such as the rumored involvement of Eugen Beza, will be crucial in determining their success this season.
