Dinamo Bucharest have bolstered their squad with the signing of 19-year-old Israeli centre-back Nikita Stoyanov, who joins the club on a four-year contract. The promising defender, standing at 1.92 meters, arrives from Maccabi Netanya, where he made 21 appearances in the Israeli Premier League last season, scoring once and providing an assist.
Stoyanov, a product of Maccabi Netanya’s youth system, has already shown impressive maturity for his age and is regarded as a future key player for the Israeli national team, having already been called up to the senior squad and serving as a regular starter for the U21s. His transfer is seen as a direct response to the departures of Josue Homawoo and Răzvan Patriche, which left Dinamo seeking to strengthen their defensive line ahead of the new campaign.
According to local media, Dinamo paid €400,000 for Stoyanov—making him the club’s most expensive acquisition in this transfer window, surpassing the previous record of €350,000 for Cristi Mihai. This investment highlights Dinamo’s ambition and their confidence in Stoyanov’s long-term potential. Other notable signings this summer include Alexandru Musi, Danny Armstrong, Charalampos Kyriakou, Codruț Sandu, Vadym Kyrychenko, Cristi Mihai, and Luca Bărbulescu, as head coach Zeljko Kopic continues to rebuild the team.
Stoyanov’s arrival is expected to bring both physicality and composure to Dinamo’s backline, and his ability to play at a high level despite his youth could be crucial for a side aiming to improve on previous league performances.
