CFR Cluj has officially announced the signing of 18-year-old Romanian youth international Lorenzo Biliboc from Juventus, adding a highly regarded talent to their squad. The right-winger, known for his pace and attacking instincts, developed through Juventus’ youth ranks after being acquired from Torino’s academy in 2020.
Biliboc, considered one of the brightest prospects of his generation, impressed last season with Juventus Primavera, scoring 9 goals in 35 appearances and contributing key strikes in the UEFA Youth League, including goals against Aston Villa and RB Leipzig’s U19 teams. His performances earned him training opportunities with Juventus’ senior team under coach Igor Tudor.
Before joining Juventus, Biliboc spent time on loan at Parma’s U18s, further honing his skills. His market value is estimated around €225,000, reflecting his potential to grow into a first-team regular.
CFR Cluj’s recruitment of Biliboc follows their recent trend of investing in young Romanian players nurtured in Italian football systems, signaling the club’s ambition to blend youth development with competitive experience. This transfer, announced shortly after CFR Cluj’s Supercup defeat to FCSB, aims to bolster the team’s attacking options for the upcoming campaign.
The acquisition of Lorenzo Biliboc underscores CFR Cluj’s strategic focus on youth talent with international experience, potentially shaping their future success in Romania’s Liga I and European competitions.
